Dear Aunty Trish, I'm sorry this message is late, but I prefer to think of it as being Trish-time. You tumbling out of bed at midday when we went on holiday was an inspiration to my teenage self, and your boundless enthusiasm for fun will remain an inspiration to me, whatever age I am. You sometimes worried that the world would forget you, and perhaps with everything going on right now it would do well to remember you better. But, as the world grows older and more complicated, it is refreshing to me to remember you. It was a simpler time, at least for some of us. I've found myself thinking of you in the strangest places, a Dublin nightclub, a tiny town's sports pitch, Bavarian bedrooms with broken windows and stained carpets, and in the most obvious, where we scattered your ashes. In truth, the world could never forget Trish, because Trish is all of the simple joys that make the world worth living in. You are just snoozing through the morning once again, and we will see you on Trish-time, whenever that may be.
Ahh Trish, such a close friend & such an easy person to be with & talk to - you had so much joie de vivre, it doesn't really feel like you've gone! 🥰 You packed more into your short life than many do in 80+ years & I'm so glad you did! Love you lots & miss u every day (especially when I put my morning tea bag on the dish u gave me saying 'old bag') xxx
Miss you always. So sad that we're not celebrating with you today. But I know you would have wanted to go 'large' for your birthday and so you wouldn't have been impressed to be dictated to having a party of just six! Miss you always. xx
Thank you to Trish's wonderful friends for making today so very special. We have so many treasured memories of our lovely daughter over many years. The photos and poems captured her character brilliantly. Enjoy your Fabulous Friday for Trish
So much fun and laughter together, from tiny tots, school days and then the big grown up adult world. Memories of Trish turning up on West Byfleet Station in her pjs, having been in a big rush to catch the train to school, unstoppable giggles at school, holidays together, trips to London, adventures in Mr Mango and just being there for each other. Thank you for the everlasting treasure trove of memories, we absolutely packed them in and had so much fun creating them! Forever in my heart. Anniexx
Thank you so much for setting this site up - 50 is a very good time for reflection, and Trish would have been very pleased! I will add some more words and photos during the week, and will of course mark the occasion with some Friday fizz to offset a few tears..!
